Participation is free but sign up is necessary. Iværksætteraften 2017 is a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, that pays tribute to entrepreneurs all over the world.

Spouse Space 14 – the upcoming local and regional election

International House North Denmark welcomes all international spouses and partners to its 14th SPOUSE SPACE event. SPOUSE SPACE is an initiative for international spouses and partners of employees of companies and institutions in the Aalborg area, who have questions about life in North Denmark, who would like to find out more about the job search assistance we and our partners provide, and who are interested in meeting others and building a network. Have you noticed all the posters hanging around on the lampposts? The municipal and regional election is on the 21st of November and many of you actually have the right to vote – did you know?? We at international House thought that it could be interesting for you t...o know what the city council and the regional council is all about and therefore we invited two candidates to come and talk about the two councils. The event will be purely informational in regards to the election. PROGRAM: The first hour will be about the upcoming election. - A presentation about the political parties in Denmark. - Lasse Frimand Jensen who is running for the city council will give a presentation about the work done in the city council. - Narcis George Matache, who is running for the regional council, will give a presentation about the work done in the regional council. Municipality- and regional election in Denmark

This fall, the danish municipality- and regional election will take place. Silba Aalborg is hosting a lecture about the election. Join the event to learn more about the danish political system and the election. Local politicans will join the event to talk about their politics, and how the municipality of Aalborg and the region of Northern Jutland works. Silba is having an election observation mission. And the decoration part is where you can make christmas cards, and loads of different decoration, the decorations will be free and provided by us. There will be christmas music as well! Networking meeting about international social securtity

If you want to know about international social secruity then join the networking meeting in International House North Denmark on November 29 from 09:00-11:00 on Rantzausgade 4 in Aalborg.  Program  Mette Engelbrecht from Danish Industry will be talking about employment contracts in regards to expatriation and the   holder oplæg om ansættelseskontrakter ved udstationering og de attention points that are between the employment contract and the social security rules. Legal advisor Maria Louise Berggreen Pihl from unit for International Social Security will be talking about the rules for social security within EU/EØS and Switzerland, including the requirements for companies in connection with the sending of workers abroad under the Danish social security and whether there are specific requirements for employment agencies. Finally she will highlight the problem of subleasing workers during deployment abroad.

European Youth Nord Leadership Training VI – Emotional Intelligence

Danish Youth Leaders Summit – Workshop “Visions for Europe”

She focuses on activities for non-Danish speakers, but includes other events that might be of interest to international residents. Following her talk we will give a tour of the library and show you everything that you can use the library for - as a place to study, a place to gather information, and place to participate in the community. There will also be plenty of time for networking over a soda and some chips and ask Sarah questions. Understanding B-Tax

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, please come to a seminar on B-tax with our entrepreneurship counsultant and owner of Plus Consult Edin Hajder on November 19, 14:30 – 15:30. B-income is income on which tax and labour market contributions (AM-bidrag) have not been withheld by your employer, for example if you work freelance or have been paid a fee for giving a concert or a lecture. It is your responsibility to pay tax and labour market contributions on such income. Edin will explain in simple terms who has to pay B-tax, what scenarios necessitate the payment of B-tax, and how to pay it.
