Expat Host Programme

Expat Host Programme creates a bridge between internationals in North Denmark by matching them with either international or local volunteers, who help them settle in.

  • As a host you get to share your experience on life in North Denmark, but also to learn new cultures and networking with an international.

  • As a mentee, you gain advice “good-to-know” information and help to your life in North Denmark.

Who can become a host?

You can be Danish or international – the most important thing is, that you have the time to volunteer and know your way around in the Danish culture. By mentoring you help an International to find an easier way around the North Danish way of life.

Who can get a host?

Any newcomer in North Denmark can participate in the programme and get a host. Participation in the Expat Host Programme is free of charge; however, it requires effort and commitment to meet up minimum once a month.

International House North Denmark’s Secretariat has the responsibility of matchmaking the mentors with the mentees, and the process will be undertaken on an ongoing basis.
